Chemistry Department Mass Spectrometry Facility

All of the mass spectrometers except for VG70SE are operated by students after initial training provided by departmental personal. VG70SE is operated by mass spectrometry facility personal only.  For mass spectral analysis requests outside of Drexel University facility is providing services on all of our instruments. VG TOFSPEC E MATRIX ASSISTED LASER DESORPTION/IONIZATION TIME-OF-FLIGHT MASS SPECTROMETER (Stratton 416)

               ■ Time-of-flight mass spectrometer operated in a reflectron or linear mode.

               ■ Suitable for analysis of biomolecules and polymers.

              ■ GS with autosampler, MS with electron impact ionization source.

              ■ Suitable for analysis of volatile organic mixtures.
