Proper
labeling is one of the keys to creating a safe working environment. Below are
links to a number of Microsoft Word documents or document templates that may be
used to print signage for use in both the departmental research and teaching
laboratories.

the following MS Word documents to print self-sticking labels for labeling chemical containers
with the Received and Opened dates:
Large
labels (print on Avery 8160 1"x2-5/8" labels or equivalent, 30
labels/sheet)
Small
labels (print on Avery 8167 1/2"x1-3/4" labels or equivalent, 80
labels/sheet)

Refrigerator/Freezer
Emergency Contact Labels:
Download
the following MS Word document templates to print labels for appropriately labeling
refrigerators and freezers for use in the specified situations:

Chemicals Only (non-volatile chemicals only)
To
use a document template, download and open the selected file in Microsoft Word.
Fill in the form text labels (the gray boxes at the bottom of the page for
containing the emergency contact information) by double-clicking and entering
new default text. You can save the newly created document on your disk by
selecting File, then SaveAs.
